DeSylva (207), Gus Kahn (226) - Written by George Gard "Buddy" DeSylva, who was a ukulele player in a Hawaiian band in Vernon, California when Al Jolson heard it in the summer of 1917. Jolson added his name to credits, recorded it, and added it to his 1918 Broadway musical, SINBAD. The song was also later used that year in the London revue, TAILS UP.
