- PATIENCE; or Bunthorne's Bride, was first performed at the Opera Comique, London, on 23 April 1881, conducted by the composer, and presented by Richard D'Oyly Carte. The production transferred to the newly built Savoy Theatre (the first theatre to be lit by electric light) on 10 October of the same year and ran 578 performances.
