Homo Superus (異型金剛) - 2007 Original Hong Kong Cast

May be the first 'gay' musical in HK. Anyway, this marked the second collaboration of composer Frankie Ho and actor-lyricist Rensen Chan (who both are not actors in this musical). Their other work was "Vagabond". This musical was warmly received by audiences and critics upon its premiere in September 2007, and therefore a rerun was held during December with slightly modified book and dialogues. The music in this work can be separated into two parts: one featuring the TV show 'Homo Superus' while the other contributes to real-world life. With a talented cast, the vocal demand of this show is particularly higher than most other similar shows. Stand-out tracks include campy track 1 "The weirdos", bittersweet track 4 "Isn't that you?", double-meaning track 5 "0011" and swing-style track 6 "Now what".
