Did anyone else find this recording a little hard on the ears? The orchestra is unusually thin, and Annemieke Van Dam's final note in "Ich gehör nur mir" is ear-shattering in the worst possible way.

@TXTyler: Absolutley agreed. This is really not the best recording! The singers are all not the best. What a waste of money. I was really down after listening to it.

Can you believe that they just cast Annemieke Van Dam as Elisabeth in the 20th anniversary Viennese production? They've lowered their standards since Pia. So sad...
