New expanded release of FUNNY THING HAPPENED... soundtrack
New record label Quartet Records has reissued the soundtrack of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, remastered from the original tapes and including the full underscore by Ken Thorne for the first time.
The sound is much improved and newly remastered from the original stereo 1/2” album masters from the MGM vaults, and a 1/4” tape (also in stereo) from the private library of Mr. Thorne.
The release includes a deluxe full-color 24-page booklet with liner notes and track-by-track analysis by Randall D. Larson and is limited to 1000 copies.

I've ordered a copy -Don't know how long it will take to arrive from Spain (where Quartet Records is based)...

Buyer beware. I placed my order over three weeks ago, and the CD has been continuously listed as in stock -But according to their website, they are still "processing" my order. Payment was processed in less than 24 hours, so I don't think they intend to ship the CD.

Don't worry, mine arrived yesterday, despite still being listed as 'processing'.
It's a very well presented CD, worth the ambiguously extended wait.

Yeah, got mine about 10-12 days after ordering. Great packaging and a nice add to any Sondheim completist collection.
