DRG to record MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD revival


Recording CoverThe cast of Roundabout Theatre's Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood will head to KAS Studios in Astoria on December 10 to record a 2-CD cast album.

The recording will include songs not on the original cast album, including "Jasper's Vision/Smoke Ballet," a revised version of "Ceylon" (which now incorporates "A British Subject"), and the cut song "An English Music Hall," which now starts the 2nd act. The recording will also include all 8 versions of the "Murder's Confession."

Writer/Composer/Lyricist Rupert Holmes re-orchestrated the show for a 19-piece pit and will provide liner notes detailing the new material & revisions. Hugh Fordin will produce the recording for a January 19 release on DRG Records.
