Source: Originally workshopped at the Bloomsbury Theatre in 1987 as 'The Music Biz' and later as 'Sweat' in 1995, the musical was finally produced as the film 'Julie And The Cadillacs' in 1997 but would remain unreleased until 1999.
Plot: Set in the 1960s, Julie and The Cadillacs, a struggling young pop group, are enticed to London and signed up by London PR men Adam Schneider and partner Phil Green, but things aren't plain sailing for Julie.
