Baal

Inclusion of Weill as a composer of Baal is only justified in conjunction with the TV show, where his Vom ertrunkenen Mädchen (The Drowned Girl) is sung. It stems from the Berlin Requiem, which uses a number of Brecht's early poems. In Brecht's first published collection there were some put to music by the poet himself, of which three are sung in the TV show.
