Was this the Scottish National Opera or the English National Opera?

Thanks, but what I meant was, since this recording was the same year and lists the same cast as the audio & video recordings of Street Scene by the English National Opera, is this really a different production?

This is the Scottish Opera production that was the basis for the commercial release that is inaccurately labelled '1989 Studio Cast'. Both are conducted by Mauceri and feature many identical cast members.rnBoth ENO and Scottish Opera put on productions of 'Street Scene'.

The Scottish Opera and the Scottish National Opera are two separate things?

There is no Scottish 'National' Opera. It's called Scottish Opera (no 'National' in the official name).
