Peter Pan - 1960 TV Cast

Though the sticker on the DVD cover reproduced here says "Mastered from Live 1960 Broadcast", the 1960 show was not aired live (as the 1955 and 1956 presentations were) but videotaped for broadcast.

"Mastered from Live 1960 Broadcast" does not mean it was broadcast directly live- it means the songs etc were not pre-recorded they were sung Live. Also it was probably (as common back then to) film in one take.

I think you are inventing a kind explanation for misinformation. "Live Broadcast" means that the show was broadcast in real time which this was not. It has nothing to do with whether or not songs were pre-recorded. Shows that were broadcast live but did have some pre-recordings would still be classified as live broadcasts; shows that were videotaped either with "live" singing or lip-synching would not be classified as live broadcasts. The 1960 PETER PAN was not a straight-through videotaped performance; it was videotaped in a studio in Brooklyn on three days.
