why is this not out on cd to the puibic who need it

The standard excuse: Whomever owns (controls?) it tells themselves no one will buy it. It's hogwash, but it keeps such recordings in as few hands as possible; thus maintaining that feeling of exclusivity collectors enjoy so.

There was a wonderful production of that show done in Philadelphia at the Walnut Street Theatre in 1980. Full orhestra and there is a bootleg recording of it. Sound is wonderful and score is fabulous.
