Fiddler on the Roof - 1967 Studio Cast

At present, Geoff Love (and only Geoff Love) is listed as the conductor for this recording, but is that correct? The information I see suggests that the conductor was Alyn Ainsworth, although it's not definitive. The jacket credits Geoff Love with Musical Supervision, but also says "Alyn Ainsworth and his Orchestra." As we all know, Ainsworth was a prominent conductor of musicals. What did Ainsworth do with his orchestra on this recording if he didn't conduct it? (No jokes, please.) It seems to me more likely that Ainsworth was the conductor for this recording than that Love was the conductor, although I suppose it would be difficult to determine this definitively at this point.

Alan Ainsworth is connected to a lot if the MFP musicals. I suspect he probably assembled the orchestra and maybe even rehearsed the orchestra and cast. But perhaps on the day Geoff love conducted.
