Broadway vs Las Vegas. Well, actually if Broadway shows are 'Big Shows', Las Vegas Shows should be called 'Huge Shows', especially when it is in MGM Hotel. The spectacle, which feature eye-popping jaw-dropping special effects and gigantic props. The music written by a group of pop composers and lyricist is not really theatrical, but who cares? It's entertaining enough for its large settings and stunning stunts and gorgeous effects. Michael Crawford sang nearly all the songs. He will be succeeded by David Cassidy, Tommy Tune and Rick Springfield. Oustanding songs include "Somewhere in Time", "Counting Up to Twenty", both philosophical in some sense. The additional track "Open Your Eyes" was added later into the show.
