Do I Hear a Waltz? - 1965 Original Broadway Cast

It's no news for Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim are not quite friendly to each other. On their only collaboration, a musical called "Do I Hear a Waltz?", they along with writer Arthur Laurents, are not at their prime. The musical is adapted from Laurents' play "The Time of the Cuckoo", which was a success. However, the musical failed to give the central character Leona enough sympathy and likeness which appalled the audiences, as well as the critics. The score, though contains some nice songs and lyrics, is not matching with each other suitably. Some of the songs ("What do we do? We Fly!", "Moon in My Windo" and the title song) are quite effective, while the rest just do not work. The show closed 5 months after its first performance on Broadway.
