Sources say that Sony Broadway Masterworks will be recording the touring production of Dreamgirls (which originated at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem).   The production features a new Act 2 opening number and duet version of Listen (written for the film).

Nominations for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards were announced today, and the nominees for Best Show Album are:

	9 to 5 - Original Broadway Cast (Dolly Records)
	Ain't Misbehavin - Tour Cast (Rhino)
	Hair - Broadway Revival Cast (Ghostlight)
	Shrek - Original Broadway Cast (Decca Broadway)
	West Side Story - Broadway Revival Cast (Sony Masterworks

Liza Minnelli's Liza's at the Palace (Hybrid Recordings) was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Album.

The awards will be presented on January 31, 2010.

The one-performance Broadway flop gets a cast recording thanks to Ghostlight Records.

The recent 2008 Broadway cast recording of the Tony-winning revival of Hair is being released on vinyl by Ghostlight Records on November 24.
